Helping young people to aspire and older people to thrive

The Hippodrome helps raise funds

On Thursday 16th March 2017 the Hippodrome Casino hosted a fundraising dinner in support of the Sir Simon Milton Foundation for the third year running. The fact that we were oversubscribed within a week of announcing the date of the dinner shows how popular this event has become.

Our guest of honour was the Lord Mayor of the City of Westminster, Cllr Steve Summers and the evening was launched by Simon Thomas, Chief Executive and owner of the Hippodrome. A champagne reception was followed by a delicious dinner featuring the famous Hippodrome steaks. Various fundraising activities took place during the evening and then to cap it all we were entertained by the fabulous East Coast Boys (think Jersey Boys, Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons).

A wonderful evening was had by all and we owe Simon, Amy and the team at the Hippodrome a huge vote of thanks and to all those who contributed prizes for the auctions. Most important of all we raised over £40,000, which will go towards our programmes to reduce loneliness and isoaltion amongst older people in Westminster and getting young people in to work through training and education.
